We all know some types of digital technology and most people use social media or know what social media is as you can see below some of the types of social media we have in our society now. Social media is not the only form of digital technology but it does have a massive impact on what we see and what are thoughts and opinions our due to the fact of social media and what we commonly see on their allows us to have basis thoughts before we’ve even really considered looking into something, As well as what we ourselves choice to share and comment on but we also have other forms of digital technology such as mobile phones, online games and multimedia. Digital learning is any type of learning that uses technology. It can happen across all curriculum learning areas, we can see different forms of social media below. Vr headsets allows people to get involved and try out the experience for them self’s and see how they feel when they are put in the same position as the players.

Over the last decade technology has risen and changed the way we look at life and the way we use technology has broadened are minds and allows us to do research and other practical aspects that’s help-s us in the world of sports. For example the Var technology that is now use in sports such as football allows us to go back and take a closer look at important points in the games allowing the ref to make a decision as he is enabled to see exactly what happened at that moment of time. Is this a benefits though or a disadvantage as there are many different feeling towards how the technology is being used?

Sports organisation could help grow stadium attendance by using immersive technologies such as augmented and virtual reality to create new experiences this enables growth by leveraging loyalty and customer relationships, allows us to work with engaging sponsors.

Further technology that could particular be brought into games in the further would be items such as the ones listed below and no doubt about it these technologies are taking sports to new heights through the following:

  • Virtual reality and fan experience – using this technology from a fans perspective this will allow them to feel closer to the game and can also make them feel as though they are involved in the actually game and from a player perspective it can help to improve a players performance by reviewing the data from their performance of which ever sport their using the vr technology for an enabling to adjust their training where ever improvements are needed. 
  • Officiating assistance – With referees not being able to see ever aspect of the game and can maje mistakes, technology is looking at ways in which they can change this, We current have instant replay technology which has been around for a while, their trying to introduce Vr and 360 degree cameras which can now give the referees a better advantage and an unprecedented view of the action. 
  • Young athlete development – for development we can use technology such as wearables which yhelp to coaches and players to capture data as well as anaylze it and use it to improve perforamce. 
  • Numbers, metrics and a new way of seeing old games – the game which is being played id a umbers games, sports are dominated by data and data analytics, cameras and tracking devices embedded into players shoes, helmets and other sources help generate real time statistics. This can allow team coaches and managers to assess players and work out dynamics that can be improved. 
  • Smart helmet and better equipment – the hit is tracked wirelessly to the sidelines where player staff evaluate concussion data in real-time. The same tech could be applied to helmets for snowboarders, lacrosse players, and more. Mouthguards and other type of equipment is also becoming IoT enabled.
